Things to Do

Local walks take in breathtaking views of Dartmoor and gurgling brooks where otters can be seen.
Course and Fly Fishing for trout and salmon could also be easily fitted into your agenda.

Radnors is situated on the Tarka Trail
After a hard day relaxing you will find a friendly welcome in the hostelries of this pleasant market town.

The area is steeped in wildlife as seen on the

BBC Flagship programme Springwatch

GREAT for bird watching

  • The Tally Ho Pub
  • The George Hotel
  • Local Fish & Chip shop
  • Co-op food store (with cash machine)
  • News agents

All Inns offer good pub cooked food for that evening meal before a short stroll back to Radnors.

If you are lucky enough to be able to book the second weekend in November you will be in a prime position to watch one of the last fire festivals still in existence as the youth pull flaming tar barrels through the town at 5am!! The exercise is repeated at the more civilized hour of 7:30pm after the armada of colourful floats has been paraded through the town. A carnival not to be missed.
